Take a Word: Crime Film Poster

The word for this week's challenge is "Poster," and it was suggested that we design a poster for a crime movie or TV series. Here's my digital poster design for a very good, but very creepy movie. (I read the book and then saw the Swedish version of the film, but not the Hollywood interpretation. Once is enough!) The drawing of the woman is mine (a combination of hands-on and digital);  the dragon image is from Wikimedia Commons; and the grungy texture overlay is from Obsidian Dawn.

Love it. It gives a retro, dime novel effect to a modern book and movie.

A great poster, Sherry. I have seen both versions of the movie and - as I have done so often before - I wonder why Hollywood believes it can take someone else's idea and make it better. It seldom works! (I love the textured grunginess you have achieved).

What a great poster for the "tattoo" movie! I opted not to read the book because it sounded dark. Your poster is VERY effective! Thanks for sharing.
