Years ago, when the TV show "Dallas" was first on the air, my husband and I were addicted to it. Now a new version is being shown here in the US. I can't say it's great (nothing can match the novelty and campiness of the first one), but we've been watching it for old times' sake. My digital collage below is a tribute to the show. I feel the same way about the show. I totally agree with what you said. I used to watch it & Dynasty with my Mom! JR is a "character" as usual...and that's what makes it fun :)

They lost me when Bobby came out of the shower LOL But this is a fab piece. Don't know what I'd pick...Justified maybe of the Danish version of The Killing.
