Sunday Postcard Art: Birthstone (Opal)

Opal is the birthstone for my October, my birthday month. The oval in the background of this digital piece is from a photo of an opal (Google images). The woman is from Dover Designs (black and white image colored by me). The textured background is from an original painted journal page of mine. The stonework borders are from Hero Arts.

Simply beautiful, Sherry. I love it! Did you know that the most beautiful opals in the world come from Australia? There are several opal fields, one called Coober Pedy where the nearby town is entirely built underground (hotels and all)to allow people to live comfortably in the desert.

Beautiful card, Sherry. Opals are so lovely, especially the iridescent ones.

(A curse on the cybernerds who came up with these *&&^&&* illegible word verification letters. I'm on my third try!!)
