This piece may look like it "means" something heavy, but really I was just playing with patterns and shapes. The horizontal curved stripes are from a photo I took of the inside of the Guggenheim Museum in NYC. The diamond grid pattern is from a photo I took of an iron cafe chair in San Antonio. Part of the grid is filled with a pattern from a Hero Arts stone carving image. The outline of the "martial arts" fighting woman is from Broderbund Clip Art, and her lined crumpled notebook paper texture is from grungetextures. I like the contrast between her strong stance and the more fragile paper.

I love the depth and the patterns within patterns! And the way the lines of the woman repeat the shape of the diamond grid. So cool!

This is not just a pattern piece, but a traveling piece, too. Several places and images had to be combined to make this beauty what it is. I'm impressed.
I like the fact that you used a combination of photo's you took. This has a very "graphics" feel to it.
