Doors and Faces
Sunday Postcard Art: Faces
Take a Word: Door.
I ended up (sort of) combining these two challenges: Sunday Postcard Art's theme of "Faces," and Take a Word's theme of "Door." Sometimes this just happens while I'm creating--the collage seems to want to go in a certain direction. I think I know what inspired the mood of this piece, though. I had just finished C.J. Sansom's medieval murder mystery Dissolution (excellent book), which took place in a creepy monastery.
The reason there are two versions of this piece shown here is that, as usual, while I was creating it, I forgot that Sunday Postcard Art requires a 4x6 size. Of course my design was much larger. So I cropped it, to form the smaller version you see above. I'm happy with both of them!

Love the way you've combined both of these very clever
Fabulous contrast and design!
Love the color too!
That's cool, these colours are fantastic. Great collage.
Very creative and wonderful piece!
It's so amazing. I love every detail on your card.
Beautiful card!
It makes me think of the scary movies where the portraits on the wall have eye openings and villians stand behind the wall and spy...
Love, love, love this postcard - and the larger version, too!
That really hits the eyes.
Great colour and great collage too.
Bravo

STUNNING postcard, Sherry!
Original and creative. I love the colors you chose, and the sort of surreal effect is a real winner!
those eyes sent shivers down my spine, love the colours!!!
What a fantastic and original idea to "marry" the two themes and to come up with such a stunning picture. Great work, Sherry.
