  1. This is great Sherry. I had a typewriter similar to that one. It's bringing back memories.

  5. Phew. I had typing lessons on an electric typewriter many years ago in high school. Maybe I'm not quite vintage yet. I love the collage! It definitely took much more effort to use a typewriter than it does for today's word processing.

  7. I like your take on the topic, looks great, and I am so glad we have computers now. The typing was unbelievably hard for me - the mistakes.

  8. Bill may not be old enough to be able to remember manual typewriters but I am!! I learned to type on a variety of some very old clunkers and some very sophisticated manuals or so I thought until electric typewriters arrived. Corona is a name I recall.
I love your illustration. Superb!! Thanks for the memory.

  10. I love this image so much! I find old typewriters very beautiful!
When I had typing lessons in junior high school in Wyoming, the classroom had only one row of electric typewriters! The rest of us had to use the manual ones and then each week, they moved us so each row of students got to use the electric ones too! By the time I was in high school when I took a refresher course, the whole class had electric! How nice that modern technology finally came to our typing class!
