An interesting challenge from the Three Muses today, courtesy of our very creative fellow artist Bill. Here's how the challenge was explained to us: "An artist affirmation is a statement that confirms
you ARE an artist, encourages you as an artist or states your intentions
as an artist.... Create
a picture that shows your own style - perhaps a favourite of yours,
something you are especially proud of. Add a word or a quotation to the
picture. The world is your oyster. This can be any style, any theme.
Have fun."
I chose to use a digital collage I recently created for Collage Obsession, where the theme was "YOU." The lettering on the flower, the background of the collage, and the eyes are mine. The statement at the bottom was inspired by my blog title.
Your text goes so well with the picture, a very attractive and appropriate artwork for the theme.
ReplyDeleteYou've got beautiful eyes Sherry, and beauty is in your eyes. You're a talented artist indeed! :)
ReplyDeleteAnd you have gorgeous eyes...this is lovely Sherry.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly do!! Your blog title tells us so and this picture is gorgeous and so creative. I love the vibrant colours and the assortment of eyes. (I think the top ones are from a photo of you as a child!). Very inventive. Superb.
ReplyDelete'A little colour everyday' is a perfect affirmation for you, Sherry, your entry today is prefect for the theme!!
ReplyDeletePerfect entry to the theme, Sherry.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea and creation.
I love your colorful world, Sherry. Thanks for sharing it.
ReplyDeleteI echo Linda's thoughts. It's always a joy to come here and see your creations. You are indeed an artist! (And you have beautiful eyes!) xx
ReplyDeleteA thoughtful piece that suggests we sometimes look at the world with eyes of wonder, sometimes eyes of humor, sometimes eyes of question, and so on. VERY interesting piece, Sherry!
ReplyDeleteSeeing the color every day is such a gift! If more people would look for the beautiful colors, the world would be a much better place. Wonderful collage!
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm blown away, Sherry, by your affirmation and how you have illustrated it. Bravo.
ReplyDeleteThis is fascinating and so very YOU!
ReplyDeleteVery clever...and effective!!
