Three Muses: Black and White

Here's my contribution for this week's Three Muses "Black and White" challenge. No image was provided.

I can't quite figure out the look on her face-- a bit annoyed, maybe? Does she crave some color in her life? Is the bird digging its claws into her shoulder? What do you think?

  3. I think she's peeved she's stuck with a dog and a bird when she'd rather have a man! This is a great study in black and white! Thanks for sharing it with us.

    Great piece Sherry.
Clever that you've repied the striped background into the hat and her sweater.

  8. Sherry, your black and white piece is gorgeous and whimsical and joyously ... black and white! I think the lady is thinking that, if the bird perched on her shoulder decides to leave a little something, mayhem will follow. I love a picture that tells a story - or at least a story that we can all finish in our own way.
    Great work!

  10. What a great great picture. I love B&W and im sorry i cant participate right now. Your picture is grand.

I think the lady is jealours of her poodle (called Mrs. J) because it has this lovely soft curly fur. But thats just my guess.

    Hugs, Sadie.

  14. I think she's trying to tell you she's falling over and needs a steadying hand. Either that or she's bored with standing there at all and would prefer to be sipping a cocktail with a handsome man.
