Three Muses: Black and White
Here's my contribution for this week's Three Muses "Black and White" challenge. No image was provided.
I can't quite figure out the look on her face-- a bit annoyed, maybe? Does she crave some color in her life? Is the bird digging its claws into her shoulder? What do you think?

I think she's flirting with some colorful guy ;)
ReplyDeleteOh this is really beautiful. I love the bird withthe jester hat
ReplyDeleteI think she's peeved she's stuck with a dog and a bird when she'd rather have a man! This is a great study in black and white! Thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous black and whiteness!
ReplyDeleteI love all your cute black and white friends Sherry...wonderful work!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful collage, Sherry, I agree with Bev - its a man she'd rather have!
ReplyDeleteTo me she looks hopeful. Perhaps she's waiting to be coloured :)
ReplyDeleteGreat piece Sherry.
Clever that you've repied the striped background into the hat and her sweater.
Ohhhh I don't know how she is feeling but I loved the feeling I got seeing this! My cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteSherry, your black and white piece is gorgeous and whimsical and joyously ... black and white! I think the lady is thinking that, if the bird perched on her shoulder decides to leave a little something, mayhem will follow. I love a picture that tells a story - or at least a story that we can all finish in our own way.
ReplyDeleteGreat work!
You have put a lot of work into this Sherry and it shows. Absolutely wonderful! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a great great picture. I love B&W and im sorry i cant participate right now. Your picture is grand.
ReplyDeleteI think the lady is jealours of her poodle (called Mrs. J) because it has this lovely soft curly fur. But thats just my guess.
Hugs, Sadie.
I think she's afraid her hat will fall off! This is a super Black and White entry but I know what you mean about colour...
ReplyDeleteA fantastic piece, think she's dreaming on some bright colours ;)
ReplyDeleteShe looks a little bit flirty to me!
ReplyDeleteI think she's trying to tell you she's falling over and needs a steadying hand. Either that or she's bored with standing there at all and would prefer to be sipping a cocktail with a handsome man.
ReplyDeleteSuch a wonderful piece, Sherry - maybe it's just the angle she's at that is making annoyed! Love the poodle!
ReplyDeleteLovely piece.....
ReplyDeleteI think she looks slightly guilty..... I think she is hiding something behind her back!!!! Not sure what!!!!
Karen
I think she looks forlorne...."Come back, come back. Don't leave me like this. I need a little color in my life!"
ReplyDeleteGreat collage.
Paulette
This is such a fun and fabulous piece. I love all the textures and patterns in this. I'm not quite sure what the lady is thinking, but it does look like she has a secret thought or two!
ReplyDeleteHi Sherry! I think she might be waiting for Tyrone to call, but he is wrapped up in his piano lessons LOL Truly, this is a wonderful collage - very delicate lines, and swirls, and superb composition. Love it! xo
ReplyDeletewhat a fun piece!! Love the bird and the look on her face :) to me she looks as if she's caught me redhanded doing something I shouldn't, lol.
ReplyDeletehugs and smiles,
Linda
