Inspiration Avenue Challenge: Once Upon a Time (Two Looks)

Working on this digital collage was just delightful. I ended up creating two versions. The top one has a softer color and lighting scheme; the second one (after an impulsive last-minute application of the linear light blending mode) has more fanciful colors and lighting. The two looks illustrate what I love most about digital art- a few clicks of the mouse can produce a very dramatic change, and if you don't like it, you can (usually) undo it!

  3. Yes, that's me in the happy childhood photo. I seemed to like making faces at the camera- in fact, sometimes I still do.:)

  4. Both are beautiful! Isn't it fun playing with digital images? I think the top one is my favorite...

You have all the elements to create a wonderful story... a castle, a knight, a princess and a rainbow...oh, and of course the magical horse!

  6. What pretty collages. I enjoy both, but I do like the rainbow in the first one. And as Moi Freubel said, great profile pic. I found ya by way of IA (my first time participating).

  10. This is a great piece for the IA theme this week. I love to read how digital work is done. I am still learning all elements of collage art and this is so beautiful. And I am like Judy; I have always wanted a flying horse!!
