Take a Word: Blue
In a happy coincidence, last week we created magazine collages in the Artful Journaling class I attend. I chose the theme of "Blue." Here's a detail from my collage, slightly tweaked in Photoshop Elements.

Collage Obsession: Handwriting
Hand-written letters and documents can be beautiful works of art. Sadly, we don't use our handwriting that much these days, because of all the technology at our fingertips. As this week's host of Collage Obsession, I chose "handwriting" as the theme. Here's my digital collage. Image credits: tumblefish studio, land of nod, stampington, graphicsfairy, wikimedia commons.

Take a Word: Butterflies
This was a fun collage to work on while I watched the snow fall outside. It seems to have a bit of a Valentine's look about it, too. Image credits: tumblefish studio, lisa's altered art, dover designs.

Collage Obsession: Nature's Home
For this digital collage, I blended two photos we took at Yellowstone National Park--one of a waterfall, and one of a squirrel hiding in a pipe. I also blended in a texture overlay.

Sunday Postcard Art: Italy
I've never been there, but have heard wonderful descriptions from others! Someday, maybe...

Soartful Challenge: Flourishes in Shades of Red
One of my favorite colors! And this gave me the chance to use a beautiful bird flourish I found in a book by Arthur Baker. Swirl patterns are my own creations (from drawings and Gelli prints).
