Take a Word: Grandma's Recipe Book

This theme brought back delicious memories of my Grandma Beckie Fox's cooking. I don't think she used a cookbook, and when asked for a "recipe," she'd say, "I just put in a little of this, a little of that" (in her lovely Eastern European accent). I remember my mother once trying to follow along while Grandma made strudel (or some such delicacy) and writing down the instructions as she watched. Must have been frustrating :)...and I don't think we still have whatever was written down. But the flavors, aromas, and kitchen scenes remain in my memory as some of the happiest times of my childhood.

Sunday Postcard Art: Coffee

Quotography: Walking

This week's prompt to inspire a photo and quote is "walking." I took this photo (slightly altered here) in Yellowstone National Park. I thought the quote fit nicely! An alternate title for this scene was suggested by my husband: "Commuting."

Collage Obsession: MAN

Collage Obsession provided us with the image of DaVinci's Vetruvian Man as an inspiration for this week's challenge. I used it as a background for more modern male silhouettes by allfreedownload.com, Italian text by anna corba, and texture overlay by shadowhouse. I think the guys look great!!
