Take a Word: Feathered Friends

On a snowy day last week, a large shape in a tree in my front yard suddenly attracted my eye. It was the biggest, fattest, reddest robin I'd ever seen. I honestly did not know a robin could be so plump. I grabbed my phone and took a picture of it through the kitchen window, just before it flew off. Below is the photo (not the clearest, I admit) and a version that I altered to give it a more fanciful twist. Spring is coming!

Take a Word: Sewing

I have only two excuses for this collage: (1) I probably have a touch of cabin fever due to too much snow and ice; and (2) I attended the first session of a class called "Origins of Jazz" last week, where ragtime was discussed. Basic images (altered by me ) from Google; pattern on dolls is mine. I can't quite decide if they're cute or creepy! What do you think?

Sunday Postcard Art: Pieces of Pictures

For this challenge we were asked to combine two or more pictures. I altered the balloon poster by changing some of the images within it (see if you can find them);  added the bunch of balloons; then combined all that with the hot air balloon and planetary background (from an old digital collage of mine). Whew. Now I'm going to sleep.
