Letter Love 201 with Joanne Sharpe

This month I'm taking another online class with Joanne Sharpe: "Letter Love 201: Lettering as Art." As always, I'm enjoying her class immensely, and will get a chance to take a "live" class from her in March here in Maryland at The Queen's Ink in nearby Savage Mill.  Below are some examples of what I've created this time.

Digitalmania Challenge: Art in the Style of Jimmy Lawlor

Each week at the Digitalmania challenge on Flickr, we are asked to create a digital collage in the style of a particular artist. Often the artists use surrealism in their work. I'm the host at Sunday Postcard Art this week and I've chosen the theme of "circles." The basic black and white stained-glass flower image for my digital collage, below, is by Dover designs. I altered and colored it and manipulated it into circle-based patterns.
