Critters, continued
At the risk of appearing obsessed (me, obsessed?:)) with creating whimsical animal drawings, I'm posting a few more recent ones.

The Fox Girls
Using another technique from Drawing Lab, I did a small "scribble" drawing (I used the Paint program), then looked at it to see what I could turn it into by adding lines, etc. It seemed to want to become... a fox. I then printed out copies of the final drawing; filled them by hand with colored Pitt pens and zen-style doodles; and put them back into PSE for a little further enhancement. And here they are: the Fox Girls. (I borrowed the name from my Mom's maiden name, Fox; she had four older sisters and the five of them were referred to as "The Fox Girls"-- they were a force to be reckoned with!) I have a feeling I may be creating three more soon...

Alpha-Bird
Still inspired by Drawing Lab, I did a line drawing of a hummingbird (from a photo on the National Zoo website), scanned it into PSE and made a few refinements to it, then filled the spaces digitally with an alphabet image and a paisley pattern I had created for earlier projects. I love the way this one turned out!
